PUPs, or Potentially Unwanted Programs, are programs that may include advertising, toolbars, and pop-ups that are unrelated to the software you downloaded. Like with my previous review, I uploaded the MK package into VirusTotal site, and as before, I got a single warning from the same AV engine: ESET. MacKeeper was scored 6 out of 6 (top) on the AV-Test Performance test. Second, it was certified by AV-TEST, an independent organization that rates antimalware solutions for various platforms, including macOS.
